14. Automated Decision-Making

We use automated decision-making as part of our PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) health screening process. This process involves two distinct stages:

Stage 1: Automatic Rejection (Fully Automated)

Certain PAR-Q responses will result in an immediate and automatic rejection of your registration with no human review. These questions relate to medical conditions that, under our duty of care obligations, make participation in boxing unsafe. If your registration is rejected at this stage, you will not be able to participate in the event.

If you believe you have answered a question incorrectly, you may contact the event coordinator to request a manual review. Contact details are provided to you upon completion.

Stage 2: Flagged for Human Review

Certain other PAR-Q responses will flag your registration for review by a human coordinator before a final decision is made regarding your participation. You may be contacted for further information during this process.

Upcoming Legislative Requirements

From 10 December 2026, amendments to the Privacy Act introduced by the Privacy and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2024 (Cth) will require APP entities to include additional disclosure in their privacy policies where automated decision-making significantly affects individuals. We will update this policy prior to that date to ensure full compliance.
